CAITLYN HOWARD

 

BIO 

I am Caitlyn Howard. I am a graphic artist based in Lawrence Kansas. I studied design: Illustration and Animation and double minored in sports management and dance at the University of Kansas. I also spent some time being a part of the University of Kansas marching band, dancing in a hip hop crew, and being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The Delta Chapter. I strive to create vibrant and beautiful images that overflow with joy and love. Life is hard. I feel that it is my responsibility to create art that brightens someone's day, giving them a moment of positivity and relief. In my work you will find that it is light, colorful, and brings a touch whimsical energy. Patterns have been my most recent representation of this. My patterns and many other works of art, I appreciate creating traditionally. With mediums such as pen, markers, paints, and cut paper. However, the most fun is in combining traditional and digital mediums in my designs and artwork. I hope you all enjoy what you see!
